As an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter, you will have the opportunity to learn a skilled maintenance trade in a fast-paced environment.You will be working as part of our highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance teams on a Monday-Friday day shift roster.The role involves contributing to safety initiatives, learning industry best practices, using hand tools, electrical and pneumatic powered tools and equipment, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and interacting with the wider Maintenance and Production teams.About this Role:Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to safety initiatives by identifying and mitigating potential hazards
  • Leverage industry best practices to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic powered tools and equipment to perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Pursue welding certification (TIG, MIG, MMA) to enhance skills and versatility
  • Fabricate sheet metal components to meet production requirements
  • Collaborate with the wider Maintenance and Production teams to achieve shared goals
Requirements
  • Display a genuine interest in engineering or mechanical type trades
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of tooling, materials, and mechanical aptitude
  • Showcase problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Exhibit strong mathematical and English attributes
  • Hold intermediate IT skills with regards to Windows-based operating systems
  • Be an Australian Citizen or hold formal permanent residency
