Overview

Stile Education is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Director of Science Education to lead the development of our science curriculum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the vision of our science teaching and learning resources in Australia and the US.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong science background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. You will be responsible for creating engaging and effective science lessons, activities, and resources that meet the needs of students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and refine Stile's recommended scope and sequence for all supported markets in Australia and the US.
  2. Develop innovative ways to present scientific concepts, working with our creative team to craft engaging and interactive resources.
  3. Write and review lessons and activities from a teacher and student perspective, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  4. Build and maintain a network of subject matter experts to advise on technical and cultural aspects of our lessons.
  5. Visit classrooms and conferences in Australia and the US to observe Stile in action, talk to teachers, and stay up-to-date with the latest thinking in science education.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong science background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. You should have experience with curriculum and program development, and be familiar with evidence-based pedagogies. You should also have a knack for finding innovative and creative ways to present scientific concepts in a way that engages students.
