Materials Management Specialist

The role involves overseeing the integrity of materials data within management systems from identification to delivery.

This requires strong planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills to ensure accurate system reporting and effective allocation of resources.

The ideal candidate will have experience with contemporary material management systems and knowledge of construction materials and services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage purchase requisitions in SAP
  • Support project teams to ensure materials availability aligns with construction schedules and constructability requirements
  • Plan and forecast material requirements for effective allocation and reporting to site teams
  • Receipt and manage materials received, handled, and issued through project laydown yards and sites
  • Inspect and verify materials, equipment, and documentation to ensure compliance with project technical and commercial requirements

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with contemporary material management systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects with supplier relationships
  • Proven planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills with ability to work through complex issues
  • Solid understanding of Cost and Stock Control
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong professional attitude
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and SAP
