We invite applications for an Avionics Systems Specialist to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley. This role will involve supporting the EA-18G Growler, a vital asset in our mission to ensure aircraft readiness for critical operations.
As we establish our ALQ-99 Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) Capability, your expertise will be essential in maintaining advanced electronic warfare systems for the EA-18G. Your contributions will directly impact operational readiness, providing critical support across Air, Sea, and Land units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance Execution: Perform maintenance on the Tactical Jamming System and its sub-assemblies to ensure optimal performance.
- Completion Verification: Use the electronic maintenance system to confirm and document that tasks have been completed satisfactorily.
- Expertise Support: Provide guidance and troubleshooting for the Tactical Jamming System to enhance operational efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Ensure serviceable pods are available to meet operational demands.
- Documentation: Maintain and update records in an enterprise tracking tool for accurate serviceability information.
- Safety Standards: Uphold workplace health and safety practices and report any issues.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for ALQ-99 TJS ILM work conducted.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the team to prioritise and execute maintenance tasks per Commonwealth requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics), a C class driver's license, and Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 clearance. You must also successfully complete the vetting process for a government security clearance sponsored by BDA.
