Job Description

We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our team in the beautiful Gippsland Lakes region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated GP to work in a modern and well-equipped practice, providing high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • High income potential: Our practice offers a negotiable guaranteed base income for the first 3 months, with 65% of billings going directly to the practitioner.

As a General Practitioner with us, you will have the opportunity to specialise in an area of interest, such as aboriginal health, palliative care, or aged care. You will also enjoy a great work-life balance, with flexible working arrangements available to suit your needs.

The practice features comfortable, well-equipped consulting rooms, emergency care facilities, and digital medical records systems integrated across sites. Our team approach to care delivery is supported by skilled and experienced registered nurses, and we offer co-located pathology services and a dedicated customer service team.

We are an accredited teaching practice with a strong culture towards ongoing education, including registrar and medical student placements. As a valued member of our team, you will have access to in-house professional development opportunities and reimbursement of relocation costs (negotiable).

In addition to these benefits, we offer a range of salary packaging options, including up to $15,900 per year in general living expenses, up to $2,650 per year of meals and entertainment expenses, and remote area housing benefit. We also provide assistance connecting you and your family to local schools, community services, and other employment where required.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a non-VR GP currently enrolled or eligible to enrol in a pathway program pending employment offer. You will need to possess medical indemnity insurance, a police check, and a working with children check.
