About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Handy Person to join our team at Grace Care Centre, a 51-bed care home located in Thornbury, Gloucestershire. As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for maintaining the home's property, including the surrounding gardens, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the home's property, including heating and lighting systems, and the overall fabric of the building.
  • Perform regular checks on the boiler and water systems.
  • Complete all relevant health and safety checks.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the home is well-maintained and safe.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar maintenance role, who is comfortable working in an elderly care setting and has strong practical skills. You will be able to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner and have good communication skills.
