The Role

We're seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining our Kubernetes-based platform, ensuring it remains available, performant, reliable, scalable, and secure.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Becoming intimately familiar with our software stack and making changes to application code when needed.
  • Ensuring Q-CTRL stays current with industry best practices for operating in the cloud and proactively applying them.
  • Developing toolchain support, including CI/CD pipelines, ephemeral test environments, vulnerability scanning, and automated infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling.
  • Helping ensure our applications are scalable, highly available, and cloud-agnostic.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and public clouds such as AWS or GCP.
  • Proficiency in software development and programming, with a strong understanding of Go and Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A keen eye for identifying areas for improvement and taking initiative in implementing new technologies and solutions.
