Primary Classroom Teacher Position

St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School in Lithgow, NSW, is seeking an approachable and caring Primary Classroom Teacher to join their supportive team. The ideal candidate will encourage development and nurture the personal, spiritual, and educational growth of each student.

The successful applicant will create a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies. They will develop and implement quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods and assess and report student progress.

The teacher will use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education. They will analyse student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement. Furthermore, they will engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.

This role involves collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contributing to school life. The teacher will provide student supervision and assist in organizing extracurricular activities.

The ideal candidate must hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW. They should be able to monitor and assess student learning data and use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.

The selected individual will demonstrate a commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities. They will reflect on, evaluate, and improve professional knowledge and practice in a professional learning team.

A commitment to developing positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect, patience, and understanding is essential. Additionally, the ability to develop up-to-date knowledge of NESA and Australian Curriculum requirements for all stages in their KLA area is required.
