Job Description

This is a full-time position that will be based in Perth with 50-60% site travel. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of site-based HSE experience in the Operations/Mining Industry. They will be responsible for developing and formatting high-quality documents, presentation material, training material, and internal and external reports for stakeholders. They will also interpret, advise, and apply OHS legislation, Code of practices, and relevant Australian Standards to all activities.

The role involves participating in the development and review of OHS strategies, policies, and procedures that support our HSE objectives. They will ensure effective use of internal reporting systems and compliance with all relevant Federal and State Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and Australian Standards.

Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments for all relevant operations, developing SWI, JHA compliance, and reviewing chemical risk assessments. They will assist the business to implement and maintain the HSE System Audit Program and conduct worksite inspections and audits at workplaces.

The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist Work Health & Safety experience and the ability to provide advice to our Village Managers and employees. They will have a thorough working knowledge of OHS and industry best practice, and Work Health & Safety Management Systems ISO 45001, Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years site-based HSE experience in Operations/Mining Industry
  • Current Provide First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current C Class DL
  • 4WD Training certification
  • White Card
  • Cert IV TAE
  • Injury Management
