Job Description:
As an Enrolled Nurse (EN2-5) at The Forensic Hospital, Malabar, you will provide day-to-day mental health and physical healthcare for patients in line with recovery and forensic mental health rehabilitation principles. You will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating health issues and nursing care. Your role will involve integrating therapeutic goals with security requirements while maintaining safety of patients, staff and visitors. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support complex patient needs is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day mental health and physical healthcare for patients in line with recovery and forensic mental health rehabilitation principles.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating health issues and nursing care.
  • Integrate therapeutic goals with security requirements while maintaining safety of patients, staff and visitors.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support complex patient needs.

Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN).
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in contemporary mental health nursing.
