Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in regulatory or litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective legal services that support HESTA's commercial arrangements and operations.

  1. Maintaining an in-depth and current understanding of key legislation and standards, including the Superannuation Industry Supervision (SIS) Act, APRA Prudential Standards, and the Corporations Act.
  2. Providing strategic and practical legal advice to HESTA, focusing on legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory notices.
  3. Identifying and managing legal risks arising from legal developments, regulatory focus areas, changes in law, and judicial decisions.
  4. Developing, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents to meet HESTA's legal and regulatory risk management requirements.
