About the Organization:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service operates Rockhampton Hospital, a 305-bed facility serving as the primary referral center for Central Queensland. The hospital provides a wide array of specialist medical services, including but not limited to Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, and General Surgery. Additionally, various clinical services are offered through visiting specialists from tertiary hospitals across Queensland. The recently established Cancer Care Unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology to cater to local patients.
Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will become a vital member of a specialized rheumatology team, contributing to the establishment of a high-caliber outpatient service within their clinical practice scope, as authorized by the Credentialing Committee at Rockhampton Hospital and CQHHS facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional medical care under the mentorship of consultant medical staff.
- Operating in a semi-autonomous capacity within an outreach outpatient clinic, providing top-tier care to general rheumatology patients.
Candidate Profile:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Mandatory qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Proof of registration as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- A primary medical degree and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
- Active enrollment in a continuing medical education (CME) program with relevant organizations.
Compensation and Benefits:
The total remuneration package can reach up to $77,343 per annum, which includes:
- An hourly wage ranging from $100.78.
- A 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
- 17.5% leave loading.
