About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's Engineering Team. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing mechanical designs, robotic solutions, mechanisms, and equipment using 3D CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical and automated equipment and parts for factory automation and production automation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated production lines, including conveyor systems, robotic cells, and linear motion technology equipment.
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic, sensor, hydraulic, and automation equipment.
  • Coordinate national engineering assignments and manage key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and product development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering design and R&D activities and implement new and more effective ways to increase efficiency.
  • Work within a Systems Engineering and Quality Assurance framework to ensure high-quality designs and products.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage projects to ensure on-time delivery using MS Project and in-house ERP/MRP systems.
  • Lead design draftsman, graduate engineers, and engineers within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Produce associated project documentation using Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in design and development of mechanical and automated equipment and parts.
  • Experience working to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
