Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in a hospital setting.

This role involves collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients across various wards and areas, with a focus on delivering quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with doctors, nurses, and patients to understand their needs and requirements
  • Collect blood and non-blood samples with care and attention, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records for every patient and sample
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy, ideally with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or nursing background
  • Excellent liaison and communication skills, with empathy and a patient-centred approach
  • Organised with high attention to detail
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residence, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with work rights
  • Vaccination evidence for vaccine-preventable diseases such as Hepatitis B is a requirement
  • Other vaccinations based on location or setting may be required
