At YMCA Whittlesea, we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Student Wellbeing Specialist. About the OpportunityThe Y Community School has been established to respond to the needs of young people who are disengaged or at significant risk of disengaging from mainstream education. As our Student Wellbeing Specialist, you'll work collaboratively with school staff, external professionals, and parents to maximise support and elevate the overall wellbeing of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Elevate students' daily wellbeing, ensuring they're geared up for an enriching learning journey.
- Collaborate with school staff, external professionals, and parents to maximise support and elevate the overall wellbeing of our students.
- Provide a nurturing environment for wellbeing and learning, fostering a sense of community and belonging among students.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote students' mental health and wellbeing, including crisis intervention and support.
- Work closely with the school community to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
We're seeking an individual with a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of young people. You'll possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate and supportive approach, and valuable experience in promoting wellbeing, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals with poor mental health.
