Administrative Assistant Role
We are seeking an organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our multidisciplinary health team.
- Provide administrative support to the renal dialysis units of Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospitals under the supervision of the NUM at the Regional Dialysis Centre Blacktown.
- Work closely with all members of the team caring for patients receiving dialysis treatments, including nurses, medical staff, allied health staff, general services and other administrative staff, requiring regular communication with patients, their families and carers.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
- Experience using patient information systems, PBRC billing system, HPE document tracking systems, Oracle ordering system and other MoH IT systems.
- Previous experience working in a medical practice or outpatients clinics in a hospital environment.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products, particularly WORD and Excel.
- Understanding of patient privacy and management of patient complaints.
