Junior Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary
We seek a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory media preparation, stains maintenance and various general laboratory tasks.
About the Role
- Prepare laboratory media and maintain various stains used within the laboratory
- General laboratory tasks such as housekeeping, maintenance, clerical activities, data entry, and specimen transport duties
- Process all specimen types both on automated systems (e.g., Kiestra, Urine analyzer, Blood culture) and manually
Requirements
- Certificate or Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Medical Laboratory), Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Operations, or equivalent
- Relevant experience and/or understanding of work performed in Microbiology Pathology laboratories
- Ability to prioritize and cope with stressful situations
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
