Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Clear Ventures is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, within proximity to an office location.

The Role

We are looking for a top-tier Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of tech-enabled motorcycle helmets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Lean and Agile processes for hardware products and experience engineering within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and support the mechanical architecture, development, and analysis for new products
  • Be responsible for the overall design, analysis, documentation, and functional validation of mechanical components and assemblies
  • Conduct and participate in mechanical engineering evaluation and test to validate the robustness and proper performance of new products
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the successful development and launch of new products
  • Contribute to the development of mechanical tooling and production part qualification
  • Mentor and provide support to mechanical and cross-functional team members
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in mechanical and/or product design development
  • Thorough knowledge and experience utilizing CAD modeling tools
  • Extensive experience with injection molded plastic design
  • Effective management of engineering projects both internally and with 3rd parties
  • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and performing statistical tolerance analysis
