Job Description

As a Project Environmental Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of environmental and sustainability management requirements on our projects. You will promote environmental awareness, drive high performance, and provide technical support on significant environmental aspects.

This role involves leading the implementation of the Project Construction Environmental Management Plan, reviewing onsite implementation of environmental systems and procedures, and developing and maintaining the Environment and Sustainability Management plan. You will also be responsible for providing advice on environmental aspects such as erosion and sediment control, ecology, waste management, noise and vibration, and managing environmental permits and approvals.

  • Lead the implementation of the Project Construction Environmental Management Plan to meet legal, client, accreditation, and other obligations.
  • Conduct reviews of onsite implementation of environmental systems and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain the Environment and Sustainability Management plan, processes, and system elements.
  • Provide technical support on significant environmental aspects such as erosion and sediment control, ecology, waste management, noise and vibration.
  • Manage environmental permits and approvals, and ensure compliance with Georgiou HSEQ systems, policies, standards, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for candidates with 6+ years of industry experience in construction delivery on major civil projects in the Environmental field. You should possess relevant qualifications in environmental science or a related discipline, and have experience working on TMR projects and complying with their environmental requirements. Proven experience with working to the Infrastructure Sustainability rating scheme is also desirable.
