Fitters Wanted for Scheduled Shutdown in Olympic Dam

We have multiple opportunities for qualified fitters to join our experienced crews in the scheduled shutdown works at Olympic Dam.

The shutdown is expected to take place from 27 August to 10 September, with mobilization commencing 1-2 days prior.

Our offer includes:

  • Day/Night Shift preference - 12 hour shifts
  • Competitive pay rates: D/S $57.50/hr, N/S $66.13/hr flat
  • Superannuation paid on all hours worked
  • Mob/demob allowance (conditions apply)
  • Flights included (from any capital city within Australia)
  • Camp/meals included
  • Paid training (new to Olympic Dam site only)

Your duties will include:

  • Facility maintenance/repairs
  • Repair and maintenance as required
  • Identifying and repairing mechanical issues
  • Maintenance and repairs of plant equipment
  • Pump/Pipe and conveyor repairs/replacement

To be successful in this role, you will possess some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Trade qualification
  • Olympic Dam Inducted (preferred or can be provided)
  • Available for the whole duration of the scheduled shutdown works
  • Working at Heights (current within 2 years – essential)
  • Confined Space (current within 2 years – essential)
  • Shutdown or mining experience (highly regarded)
  • Experience in a mining maintenance environment (desirable)
  • Willing to supply a Pre-Employment Medical (within 12 months) or willing to obtain (essential)

Pre-screening requirements include working rights checks, drug, and alcohol screening.
