About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Business Growth Specialist to join our team and drive commercial growth through effective relationship building, deal negotiation, and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and Deal Negotiation: Develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure optimal returns for the bank, while reviewing commercial lending, asset finance, and residential lending deals to align with policies and credit standards.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with aggregators and commercial brokers across business lending, asset finance, and insurance premium funding, utilizing well-developed relationship management skills to exceed client expectations.
  • Brand Awareness: Enhance BOQ Business Brand visibility among commercial brokers and aggregators in the Australian market, leveraging internal and external stakeholders to achieve this goal.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing internal stakeholders, working closely with State Managers, Relationship Managers, and the credit team. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be presenting to large audiences at Aggregator conferences and providing Broker lending updates.

About You

Our successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Finance, Business, or a relevant discipline (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong commercial lending experience & knowledge of the Business Lending sector, particularly analysis of complex financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial market and competitors' products
  • Ability to identify acceptable lending risk to the Bank and maximize profit from transactions
  • Demonstrated experience of building, maintaining, and utilizing successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across the organization
  • Be a self-directed, motivated team player who is passionate about providing a better BOQS experience
