Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to fill a vacancy in our Adelaide-based operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio of residential and/or commercial steel detailing experience, with proficiency in using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD software applications.

  • Create detailed steel fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures independently.
  • Analyse and interpret architectural and structural drawings along with technical instructions for accurate steel detailing.
  • Manage designated projects with minimal supervision required.
  • Prepare reports, NC data, and shop drawings for processing and fabrication purposes.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams to discuss project specifications and progress. They will also be responsible for attending site visits to gather data, understand project requirements, and ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in residential and/or commercial steel detailing practices.
  • Proficiency in using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD software applications.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and framing documentation accurately.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

Favourable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in steel fabrication and detailing across multiple project types.
  • Tertiary qualification or trade background in engineering, drafting, or construction fields.
