Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled HSE Audit and Assurance Manager to join our Governance and Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading internal and external HSE audit and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with self-insurance and regulatory requirements, and developing high-quality auditing tools and analytics.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and lead internal and external HSE audit and assurance activities
- Ensure compliance with self-insurance and regulatory requirements
- Manage and enhance in-house HSE systems
- Develop, plan, and schedule audit tools
- Provide training and education to the HSE team
- Conduct regulatory audits and manage workers' compensation self-insurance
- Work consultatively with stakeholders across various levels
- Influence and drive positive change within the HSE framework
- Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation, industry, and management system standards
- Current experience working in an HSE audit, assurance, or systems position
- Experience within transport, logistics, or heavy industry is desirable
- Ability to travel (roughly twice per month) across Australia
- Experience with supporting multiple sites or a geographically diverse business is desirable
- A sound understanding of operational issues and challenges faced by line managers in implementing HSE processes and programs
- A consultative approach and ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders
