Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Strategist

Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to design and implement a secure and efficient cloud infrastructure that seamlessly integrates on-premises and cloud resources.

This requires a deep understanding of hybrid cloud configuration, including the integration of Microsoft Azure, M365, and D365.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, security teams, and product delivery teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust architecture patterns.

Responsibilities include designing resilient, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that connect on-premise, Azure, M365, and D365 platforms.

Key skills required for this position include experience in translating business requirements into technical designs, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and expertise in designing and integrating on-premises infrastructure components.

A strong understanding of Australian government security frameworks and experience applying security considerations at the design stage are also essential.

Requirements:
  1. Significant experience in Information Technology with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure architecture and operations in a hybrid cloud configuration.
  2. Good understanding and experience of networking, security, and best practices for both on-premises and cloud environments.
  3. Experience in translating business requirements for resilience, recoverability, performance, cost, and security to technical designs.
  4. Good understanding and experience of disaster recovery and business continuity planning for infrastructure.
  5. Expertise in designing and integrating on-premises infrastructure components, including servers, networking, storage solutions, and Active Directory.
  6. Strong knowledge of core Azure services, including Entra, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Arc, Monitor, and associated integration patterns.
  7. Azure certifications such as Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, and Azure Security Engineer are advantageous.
