Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Control Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring our organization meets its corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management obligations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and strengthening internal controls & processes, identifying operational and financial risks, and driving compliance across business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Support the planning and execution of internal control requirements across multiple departments.">
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control weaknesses.">
  • Develop and maintain step-by-step internal control process documentation for all departments.">
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend actionable risk mitigation strategies.">
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective risk management initiatives.">
  • Perform post-implementation control self-assessment (CSA) walkthroughs to evaluate control design and operational effectiveness.">
  • Assist the Financial Controller and project lead in preparing progress reports and presenting key findings to senior leadership.">
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.">
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of audit activities, findings, and follow-up actions.">
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of audit tools, templates, and methodologies.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.">
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related compliance role.">
  • Strong understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks.">
  • Experience working with complex systems and data analysis tools.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.">
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.">
