Telecommunications Expert Wanted

We seek an accomplished Senior Telecoms Engineer with a knack for excelling in fast-paced environments.

This role is perfect for self-motivated individuals who can tackle various tasks from administrative to strategic, utilizing their technical expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement communications projects incorporating radio sites, IP nodes, voice and data communication solutions, fibre optic and copper-based transmission systems, power supply systems, and related ancillary systems.
  • Develop high-level and detailed design documentation for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all aspects.
  • Hands-on work involving equipment configuration and integration on various routing and switching equipment, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Participate in factory and site testing and commissioning activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver efficient solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP certified Network Engineer with a minimum 10+ years' experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of telecommunications technologies.
  • An engineering degree enabling full membership to Engineers Australia, showcasing academic excellence and commitment to professional development.
  • Extensive experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies, including IP/MPLS, BGP4, and OSPF technologies, ensuring a strong foundation in telecommunications fundamentals.
  • Proven project experience with the ability to manage priorities and multitask, delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering report writing, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience working in the rail sector, possessing a unique understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
