Landscaping Labourer Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced landscaping labourer to assist our team of landscapers in completing various landscaping projects.

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance and upkeep of landscape elements such as plantings, hardscapes, irrigation systems, and outdoor structures.
  • Prepare and grade landscapes, including excavation, backfilling, and compacting soil for optimal growth.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times.
  • Assist in the construction of pathways, patios, and retaining walls using various materials like concrete, bricks, and natural stones.
  • Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper spacing, depth, and irrigation to ensure healthy growth.
  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems, including laying pipes, adjusting sprinkler heads, and programming controllers.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing lawns and gardens to ensure they look their best.
  • Operate machinery and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure all landscaping requirements and expectations are met.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a landscape labourer or similar role within the landscaping industry.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain landscaping machinery and tools.
  • Proficiency in performing manual labour tasks, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Sound knowledge of plant identification, planting techniques, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and their installation and maintenance.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Current Valid White Card.
  • Current working with children Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
