Audiologist Opportunity in Remote NT Communities

Join a workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally safe, high-quality care.
  • Develop skills in a unique healthcare setting while immersed in the cultural and natural surroundings of the region.
  • Contribute to the development of the local community through healthcare services.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Engage with local stakeholders and partners to promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as an Audiologist within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of current Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist Certificate.
  • Current membership with Audiology Australia.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
