The Opportunity

Our Projects & Energy Transition team in Brisbane seeks a Senior Associate with a background in major projects and a commercial mindset to join our leading practice. You will work closely with clients on projects relating to the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects, focusing on the transport sector.

About You

  • You should have at least six years of post-admission experience in a projects, infrastructure, or construction practice area, gained within a top-tier or mid-tier firm, or in-house;
  • Be passionate about the sectors we work in and able to see the big picture beyond legal issues;
  • Have exceptional ability to build meaningful and long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients;
  • Demonstrate capability to work collaboratively, bring lawyers into matter workstreams, and actively mentor lawyers;
  • possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Have advanced drafting skills;
  • Be able to adopt a commercial approach while remaining legally appropriate, having regard to all broader circumstances;
  • Exhibit very strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills;
  • Be able to be team-focused and also work independently.
