Academic Mentor

At Kip McGrath, we are seeking dedicated and passionate Primary Education Tutors to join our team in Kenmore QLD.

As a Primary Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a small group setting, promoting their literacy and numeracy skills.

You will be responsible for:

• Teaching students using the Kip McGrath methodology
• Tutoring students in a positive and caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
• Quickly learning how to use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons
• Being available to commit to every class you are scheduled to teach
• Using strong rapport-building skills to develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
• Keeping accurate records of student progress and goals online
• Providing verbal and written feedback to parents
• Working up to 2-3 sessions a day, Monday to Saturday

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree
• A current Working with Children Check
• A friendly, professional, and personable manner
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• Demonstrate a positive and vibrant personality
• Confidence using software and computers
• A genuine love for learning and teaching
• Reliable and high attention to detail, with strong organisational skills
• Ability and willingness to teach both face-to-face in our Kenmore centre and online, as required by management
