Food Service Associate Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Food Service Associate to join our team. This role will work 20 hours per week in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service and respect to patients and customers.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read, write, and perform basic math, as well as knowledge of local, state, and federal food handling regulations (HACCP).

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and deliver patient trays with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, carts, and service-ware to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Serve customers in the cafeteria with a smile and provide excellent customer service.

This position requires standing for long periods, lifting, pushing, and pulling light to medium weight objects. Occasionally, heavy weight objects may be pushed and pulled.

Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with visitors, hospital personnel, physicians, and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Mechanical Skills: Ability to assemble and pass trays efficiently and safely.
