About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled medical professional to join our team as a Medical Officer - Bench. This is a permanent employee status, offering flexible working hours and a range of benefits.
As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
- Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide medical technical advice to Joint Health Unit Commanding Officers and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues to achieve shared goals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration.
- A minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years.
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
