Job Title: Child Protection Director

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our child protection efforts. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of child safeguarding principles and practices, as well as experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive child safeguarding strategy that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to child safety and wellbeing.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on child safeguarding matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Monitor and report on child safeguarding incidents and near misses.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or another human services discipline.
  • Strong experience in leading workplace investigations and developing policy, programs and strategy at a senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and mandatory reporting obligations.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration and negotiation skills.
