Medical Trainee Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic medical professional to join our team as a Medical Trainee. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for the admission and care of patients in our wards, including daily ward rounds.

  • Attend Specialist and Registrar ward rounds and accurately record all decisions made in the medical history
  • Respond promptly to calls from members of the patient's care team
  • Ensure timely consultations occur when requested by patients or their families
  • Interact with hospital patients' families or carers
  • Accurately and comprehensively record drugs and treatment administered to patients
  • Verify and sign result sheets for investigations
  • Perform procedures as required under supervision
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous recording in the medical record
Essential Requirements

General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia is mandatory. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration is also required where applicable.
