Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a fabric cutter trainee.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will assist experienced fabric cutters with their daily tasks, including selecting fabrics to cut, operating high-end cutting machines, and conducting stock takes of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selecting the correct fabrics to cut based on computer-generated paperwork
  • Operating sophisticated cutting machines to minimize waste and ensure high-quality output
  • Nesting and cutting fabrics to maximize efficiency
  • Conducting regular stock takes of materials to maintain accurate inventory levels

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with Matic, Raytech, or Aeronaut cutting machines is highly desirable
  • A methodical approach to work and strong organizational skills
  • The ability to read and follow complex paperwork accurately
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills
