Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our team at Geoscience Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting intersection analysis and traffic modelling, analysing signal timing, parking, and traffic data, and participating in traffic engineering design.

You will also undertake intersection and corridor studies, document traffic impact assessments (TIAs), prepare proposals, technical reports, and presentations, and manage clients and stakeholders.

To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 3-6 years of experience in transportation engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in traffic engineering and transport planning, are necessary.

Experience with traffic modelling and design software such as SIDRA, VISSIM, and AutoTurn is essential. Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills are also required for this role.
