**Disability Support Worker Role**

Life Without Barriers supports people with disability to live life the way they choose. We are looking for individuals to join our team and empower people with disability through various supports.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to provide personal care and daily living assistance to people with disability living in shared housing.

Our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. To achieve this, we require skilled and passionate individuals who can provide person-centred support and behaviour plans.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing assistance with high-intensity daily personal activities
  • Facilitating client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintaining thorough record keeping
  • Building positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Advocating for client choice and control

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**

We are seeking individuals with:

  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Previous experience working behaviours of concern
  • Prior experience working with high medical needs
  • Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
  • Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
  • An unrestricted Australian driver's licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
