Market Facing Underwriting Trainee - Risk Management Specialist

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Market Facing Underwriting Trainee - Risk Management Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in risk assessment and underwriting, while building relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About the Role

This training program provides the tools and instruction to help you evaluate risks for large and multinational companies. You'll learn to negotiate and determine the prices and terms to cover a variety of risks while building your value as a risk management specialist. As a Market Facing Underwriting Trainee, you'll have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced underwriters and risk managers to develop your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate risks for large and multinational companies
  • Negotiate and determine prices and terms to cover a variety of risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Work with a team of experienced underwriters and risk managers to develop skills and expertise

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree and on track to graduate by Spring/Summer 2024
  • Strong analytical and intercommunication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities often under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous corporate internship experience, underwriting experience is a plus
  • Aptitude for automation and process improvement
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
