A Great Career OpportunityWe are seeking an ambitious and motivated Diesel Mechanic Trainee to join our team in Hastings. As a Diesel Mechanic Trainee at Brandt Tractor, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
Job DescriptionAs a Diesel Mechanic Trainee, your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking apprenticeship training or continuing your training in heavy diesel mechanics, operator training, and precision agriculture technology.
- Performing service and repairs on a variety of John Deere and other farming machinery to a high standard.
- Conducting inspections, making recommendations for repairs, diagnosing faults, and rectifying them according to approved procedures.
- Preparing new equipment for delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- a developing ability to diagnose faults and failures through modern diagnostic techniques;
- a developing ability to perform repairs and reconditioning of vehicle and machinery systems;
- well-developed organisational skills and the ability to complete paperwork in a competent manner;
- excellent communication and customer service skills;
- ability to work in a team and individually.
This role offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive ongoing training and support throughout your Apprenticeship Program, as well as the opportunity to develop skills that will last a lifetime.
