Job Opportunity for Mechanical Engineers

 

Description:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mineral processing projects. Your expertise will be utilized to create efficient and effective systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed design calculations and equipment selection for bulk materials handling systems, slurry and hydraulic systems, mechanical platework etc.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of project procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enhance efficiency.
  • Review vendor documentation and incorporate it into project designs, focusing on constructability, operability and maintainability.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and current industry codes and standards.
  • Deliver projects within schedule, budget and quality criteria with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Identify and manage project and technical risks to ensure successful outcomes.

 

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should have:

 

  • A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in base metals, rare earth minerals and mineral processing in a design and construct environment.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards.
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan work efficiently.
  • Innovative thinking skills with ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to meet deadlines.
