Job Title:

Ambitious Ports Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned ports leader to spearhead our Southeast Region operations in Florida. As a strategic advisor, you will be responsible for building and expanding our ports practice, fostering business development, hiring and managing staff, and overseeing structural analysis and design for marine and upland components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a practice builder and drive growth of the SE Region's ports practice
  • Develop and execute ongoing business development strategies
  • Hire, manage, and motivate a team of professionals
  • Independently perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components
  • Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for a variety of port projects
  • Apply strong understanding of maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61
  • Prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analyses, and study reports
  • Utilize interdisciplinary requirements for port projects to improve project processes and perform QA/QC reviews
  • Attend client meetings and perform site visits
  • Mentor a team of developing port and maritime engineers
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to promote ports services and cross-sell across all disciplines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in analysis and design of medium to large scale ports/maritime/structures and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
