Job Summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our Medical Imaging Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Ultrasound imaging service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all Ultrasound examinations to the highest standards of quality and care, demonstrating extensive knowledge of ultrasound imaging.
  • Demonstrate a wide variety of examination experience and clinical skill in Ultrasound imaging.
  • Assist in the daily workflow of the area and ongoing service delivery to ensure clinical and operational efficiency and patient safety.
  • Supervise junior staff and trainees in Ultrasound to ensure ongoing staff development and training.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
  • Experience in a wide variety of ultrasound examinations
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Medical Imaging Team

St. Vincent's Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM's inpatients and outpatients.

The Ultrasound department consists of 5 diagnostic rooms and performs a wide range of general and complex examinations such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular and breast.

St. Vincent's Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.

The SVPR ultrasound department consists of 4 diagnostic rooms and performs a wide range of general and complex examinations such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular and obstetrics.
