Job Overview:

The Communication and Information Systems (CIS) Capability Manager is responsible for formulating requirements, planning, and managing the delivery of CIS functions for the Air Warfare Centre.

  • Representing AWC CIS capability manager interests across sustainment/enabling agencies and upwards into Headquarters Air Command.
  • Providing guidance to AWC capability managers and sustainment agencies to ensure ongoing and appropriate management of the CIS aspects of AWC systems.
  • Leading AWC CIS requirements analysis and definition in support of AWC Statements of Need (SONs), Minor/Major projects and other futures activities within AWC.

This role requires engagement with stakeholders across the AWC to identify and scope contributions to AWC activities, develop work plans to deliver the required artefacts and ensure that your outputs align with strategic objectives.

You will have qualifications, knowledge, and experience to effectively deliver Communication and Information System (CIS) capability functions for the AWC. This includes understanding Defence CIS capabilities and management systems or similar systems as well as demonstrated project management skills.

The successful candidate will be able to achieve and maintain a security clearance that enables them to handle the highest levels of classified information and provide high-quality advice to military executives and staff.
