Job Role Summary

We seek a skilled Asphalt Plant Operative to carry out plant equipment operation, maintenance tasks, and deliver excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate asphalt plant equipment including drum & batch plants, mobile equipment, and railcar conveyor systems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance duties such as inspecting, lubricating, and repairing equipment when necessary.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the plant area and load customer trucks when required.
  • Assist in conducting daily/monthly site and equipment safety inspections.
  • Work towards continuous improvement in product quality and plant efficiency.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience in welding, HDR, or fabrication.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Ability to frequently climb, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Some college-level courses in computer, organizational, and mechanical engineering.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience in performing plant inspections and developing maintenance plans.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Asphalt mix design knowledge; aggregate and binder properties knowledge.
