Job Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MEM Heavy Mobile Plant Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

About the Role

  • The role involves troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems, conducting scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, and overhauling and replacing components as needed.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services, maintain accurate service records, and adhere to Australian safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Overhaul and replace components to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate service records and adhere to Australian safety standards.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in mobile plant maintenance preferably in mining.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with OEM equipment such as CAT Komatsu and Hitachi.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
