Literacy Specialist

St Mary's Greensborough Primary School is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Literacy Coach to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement targeted literacy programs to support teacher growth and student learning.
• Collaborate with the Literacy Leader and Learning Culture Leader to improve learning outcomes for all students.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to enhance their literacy skills and knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with current pedagogical practices and research in literacy education.
• Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning culture.

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated expertise in literacy education, including data analysis and current pedagogical practices.
2. Ability to design and deliver effective literacy programs.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Capacity to coach and manage in ways that promote learning, growth, and success.
5. Commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth in education, leadership, and literacy.

Requirements:

• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (desirable).
• Commitment to child safety and best practices.
• Knowledge of the St Mary's Code of Conduct and the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.
• Current VIT registration.
