We are seeking an experienced Underground Mining Operations Manager to join our team in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating underground mining activities, ensuring adherence to mining laws and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate underground mining activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Review and analyze data to inform decision-making and optimize mining operations.
- Supervise Underground Shift Supervisors and provide direction and assistance with planning of mining activities.
- Liaise with clients to ensure expectations are met and projected targets are achieved safely and to specifications.
- Act as Relief/Alternate Site Manager during absence, adhering to agreed schedules, programs, and targets.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Underground Hard Rock Mining, with at least 4 years in a foreman or superintendent role.
- Production and development background with operator experience.
- Ability to coordinate activities and schedule labor.
- Ability to recognize potential mining hazards and risks.
- Ability to assess mining working conditions and environment.
