Job Summary

At Randstad, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to lead our government payroll team in Melbourne. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of payroll processes and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing using Chris21, working closely with other relevant teams.
  • Lead and train the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Manage payroll adjustments, variations, and changes, and handle leave reconciliations, onboarding, and terminations.
  • Generate reports and derive insights from Chris21 to drive system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Implement and maintain payroll governance to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Chris21 payroll system and proven track record in payroll management within the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance, and experience in team leadership and training.
  • Proficiency in payroll reporting and data analysis, and ability to implement governance and drive system enhancements.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, and adaptability and willingness to be hands-on.
