About the Opportunity:

The Forklift Operations Manager is responsible for leading the workshop team to ensure all equipment is repaired, serviced, and maintained on time and in line with business requirements.

This is a genuine supervisor role where you will use your previous skills and experience to mentor and coach your team, maximizing productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize the productivity and effectiveness of the workshop team through motivation, high-quality work, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure that the progress of all workshop work is monitored and communicated to the relevant people, meeting quoted targets and providing clear communication channels.
  • Develop employee engagement throughout the team, ensuring high-quality, two-way communications with all team members and management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading a team with a focus on coaching and motivating individuals to achieve desired results.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and sound knowledge of OH&S practices and standards.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and meet key performance indicators.
  • Forklift industry knowledge and experience, including solid troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.
  • Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • A current High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift) is highly desirable.
