Junior Settlement Officer Job Description

The Junior Settlement Officer is a key member of our Operations Department, playing a crucial role in supporting the settlement of treasury-related transactions. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of financial markets and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Front Office Deal Settlement: Responsible for settling treasury-related transactions, including account booking, fund transfer, and settlement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Works closely with internal and external counterparts to resolve settlement issues and prepare statistical reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigates settlement-related cases and resolves problems efficiently.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Performs additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Candidate Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: At least 1 year of experience in treasury settlement or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SWIFT and major central clearing house systems (e.g., Austraclear, Clearstream, Euroclear).
  • Knowledge and Qualifications: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; knowledge of derivative and inter-bank market settlement policies and practices.
  • Language Skills: Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.
